Jiu Jitsu is about controlling and submitting an opponent by putting them in a position where they are forced to give up or suffer severe consequences.
Interesting though that before you ever are able to control your opponent, you learn self control.
You develop the discipline and mental toughness by putting in the time and learning how you can overcome adversity day after day.
This is as true for our youngest 4 year old students as it is for our students in their 60s.
Most people join our program for self defense (often bully prevention in kids), fitness, or just having a fun positive activity in Texarkana.
