Happy Veteran’s Day Texarkana!
Happy Veteran’s Day to everyone that has served and all those that support them!
Hey, this is Marc Hagebusch, 4th Degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Head Coach of Texarkana Jiu Jitsu, and a proud Veteran of the US Army.
This was a picture from my time spent with these great people in the Army stationed in the small town of Garlstedt, Germany in 2nd Armor Division
Forward (“Hell On Wheels” – unit logo below).
There’s a special bond you make with fellow soldiers you spend time with during active service.
The military is often a great way to serve both your country and yourself.
The discipline, fitness, mental toughness, teamwork, leadership, and drive to finish what you start are all highly developed in military service.
It also provides money for college which quite frankly has gotten so expensive that going to college can create so much debt that a young man or woman is financially crippled for life.
Take my word for it… I’ve got over 12 years of college with a bachelors degree, a doctorate, and extensive post-doctorate work.
*I’m the guide on(flag) bearer in the pic so many years ago. I carried the guide on primarily because I was a very good endurance athlete/runner and had to run with it setting the pace for the company’s morning PT runs.
